Challenge

Vor der Einführung eines neuen ERP-Systems stand Fuhrmann vor erheblichen Herausforderungen bei der Verwaltung seiner komplexen Logistikprozesse. Die spezifischen Anforderungen an die Zusammenstellung und Anordnung von chirurgischen Sets sowie die hohe Präzision, die für den Versand erforderlich ist, erschwerten die Abläufe zusätzlich. Das bestehende ERP-System konnte diese Anforderungen nicht mehr erfüllen, weshalb der Wechsel zu einer leistungsfähigeren Software notwendig wurde.

Solution

Fuhrmann decided to implement Odoo as its new ERP system, with the assistance of OBS Solutions. Odoo addressed many of the company’s challenges by automating critical processes, particularly in logistics. A custom-built interface for dispatch service providers significantly improved shipping operations. Additionally, the integration of barcode scanners automated several logistical processes, reducing manual intervention and improving operational efficiency. The introduction of Odoo also made it possible to organize the sales, purchasing, and production departments more effectively, which contributed to better overall business management.
