Odoo on IBM Power
When it comes to mission-critical information systems, many still swear by the big machines. For these, the primary criterion is reliability. If an ERP system must operate with 99.999999% reliability, unplanned downtime is at most seconds per year. In this case, the traditional choice is the Big Machine environment.
Perhaps the best known of the big machines is IBM Power. And as announced at the recent Odoo Experiencess, Odoo natively supports the Power environment as well.
Now we are pleased to announce that OBS Finland has built up the expertise to build and maintain Odoo on the Power platform. The open source Odoo ERP system runs on CentOS as well as Red Hat and PostgreSQL in addition to the commercial Enterprise DB (EDB).
We will present the solution and business opportunities at the IBM Power Platform 35th Anniversary event on 26 March 2025 at IBM's premises in Hakaniemi.
Join us in celebrating 35 years of IBM Power!
This event will focus on the role of open source for Power users and
its potential to shape the future of our platforms. Together, we’ll explore
insights, real-world applications, and the value of open technologies in the
Power ecosystem.
